Our Core Values

Our aim at Oxford Media & Business School is to ensure our students experience a supportive learning environment to help them reach their full academic potential.

We pride ourselves on providing the best learning experience that we can in line with business industry needs, while supporting our students with excellent pastoral care.

Unlike university, our students are in tutored classroom environment for up to 20 hours a week learning practical business skills. They are also allocated a personal tutor at the start of the academic year who supports them throughout their learning journey with us.

With an annual cohort of less than one hundred, students are given individual attention and support in a small and friendly learning environment, enabling them to achieve their maximum potential.

Our Core Values

Inspiring & Exciting

One of our key aims is to inspire and excite young people about the future career they have ahead of them. Every term we invite speakers from different employment sectors into the business school to inspire the students with their career stories. In the final term of the course, students are placed in a one week work experience placement in a business sector of interest, which can often lead to a job offer!

Caring & Supportive

Studying with us is very different to attending a traditional university. Students have a nominated tutor that they can access for 1-1 support, and group tutor time is scheduled into the timetable weekly. Tutors get to know every student individually, and we operate an open door policy to support them with both their academic and personal journey whilst with us.

Capable & Confident

Students graduate at the end of the year feeling capable, confident and ready for employment. They learn a wealth of practical workplace skills that are highly valued by employers, as well as having the knowledge of how to conduct themselves professionally in a business environment. They also gain a deep insight into their personality through the Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessment, which can help guide them to the right career paths.

Innovative & Evolving

Our close relations with specialist and boutique recruitment agencies in London means that we have excellent knowledge of the practical skills and systems knowledge business employers would like applicants to have. Our tutors also make regular adjustments to the curriculum in line with industry needs, most notably with the recent introduction of AI tools and understanding.
